Haiku- life's irony

The irony of life is
Death, the beginning of a new life
We all end to rise.

No second troy

A poem by William Butler Yeats

Why should I blame her that she filled my days
With misery, or that she would of late
Have taught to ignorant men most violent ways,
Or hurled the little streets upon the great.
Had they but courage equal to desire?
What could have made her peaceful with a mind
That nobleness made simple as a fire,
With beauty like a tightened bow, a kind
That is not natural in an age like this,
Being high and solitary and most stern?
Why, what could she have done, being what she is?
Was there another Troy for her to burn?

Success and hope

Writers Quote-  A poem about success, getting there and staying there.

When you sleep with sorrow
And wake to happiness
And wake to foes
When you sleep with friends
When the tables have turned
And your decks been shuffled
And the smiles on their faces
Inverted with awe
Then success has come
And success is yours.

When you are hopeless
Ruined by the road side
And drenched in sweat
And nobody will look by
You scream for help
But only in your mind
And you're filled with sorrow
But soothed with pride
Know that success will come
And it will be yours

When success has come
And you lavish in it
And you drive past one
Who has been ravished from it
And you remember your brakes
And you offer a lift
In him you see yourself
You help him to success
So that if you fall in your sleep
He will wake you to your feet
Now success is yours
And forever will be.

People

This is another short poem by me. About friendships.

Distance can change alot,
Close to them but you feel so far,
Sometimes I wish they can hear my thoughts,
Or understand silence,
Because it speaks alot.

Man is so greedy,
even with thoughts,
Don't care how you feel,
Not minding their words,
What do I think ,
Why don't I talk alot,
It's because the things that I think,
can separate us.

We've come a long way,
I don't want out of this now,
I'll be your friend till death,
I hope you choose the same.

Storm- nature's gift

The lightening strikes,
The people shudder,
The thunder roars,
Such beauty that lies,
Seen by the bravest of eyes,
who walk out the dark,
And look to the sky.

The Windows open,
The soft breeze blows in,
Whispers a little,
Whistles a lot,
We don't mind its trespassing,
But hate the damage it's caused,
We rudely close the windows,
And admire the storm,
enjoying the cold and music,
that mother nature has brought.

No matter how bad we've been,
she shows us her love,
she would block out the sun,
and rock us to sleep,
the love of a mother,
is nature's best gift
